Jonathan’s career spans the full credit lifecycle: retail and business lending, corporate credit risk, relationship management, audit, and debt recoveries, including bankruptcy and insolvency proceedings. Before founding JEM Finance, he held the position of State Manager in corporate credit risk at one of Australia’s big four banks, with extensive knowledge across all industry sectors.
That background gives him something most brokers don’t have: a genuine understanding of how banks assess applications from the inside. He knows what triggers deeper scrutiny, how to present complex structures, and which lenders suit which situations.
Jonathan handles all client-facing work, from first home buyers through to businesses with debt facilities approaching $100 million. His particular depth is in commercial and business finance, where complex structures, multiple entities, and cross-collateralised security require specialist knowledge that most brokers refer out.
